Planting a Seed
Matt is in the "nightmares" stage. He's been getting scared at night, thinking someone is in his room or that someone is going to get him during the night. There have been a couple of nights when he's spent a few hours in our bed and a couple of nights I've spent a few hours lying on his floor next to his bed. Tuesday night while I was putting him to bed, he again told me he was afraid that something scary was going to happen. I then suggested we say a prayer so Heavenly Father could comfort him. He agreed. After the prayer, he looked up at me and asked, "Does Heavenly Father listen to our prayers?" It was so cute. I replied "yes, He does". I then told him he would feel better. He slept the entire night without waking up. In the morning I asked him if Heavenly Father comforted him. He looked at me and realized that he had slept better and wasn't scared. He said, excitedly, "Heavenly Father listened. He heard our prayer". We prayed again Wednesday night before going to sleep. This time Matt wanted to say it. Too cute!!

When Preston went through that, we put a picture of Jesus in his room. We told him he was watching and would protect him, that he didn't need to be scared.
I am still going through that stage! Now I know what to do. It is cool to see Matt building his own testimony.
What a great moment to record.
That is the sweetest!
