Every year we would say that this would be the year we would buy furniture for our bedroom. But a greater need for the money would come up and another year would pass by without buying any furniture. Finally this year things came together. We went furniture shopping over Memorial Day weekend and found something great. And Robert, using his negotiating skills, talked down the price by 25%. We were told it would take a couple of weeks before we got it so we figured this would be a good opportunity to repaint our room. We got rid of the green and brown trim and painted it a light gray (silver tinsel is the name) with white trim and doors. Here are the before and after shots.
Robert and Matt spent the day painting. Matt is such a good helper and worker. He painted the entire bottom half.
The furniture is dark brown (merlot), solid wood and has clean lines--exactly what we like. The wall color is relaxing and much better than the green.
